Portable Local Battery Telephone OB 80

The portable local battery telephone OB 80 was manufactured in August 1981 by the company Peter Gäch GmbH in Germering, which went out of business in 2020.

The OB 80 is based on the OB 70 desktop telephone and should have identical electrical values. The components, apart from the housing and the handset (circuit board, circuit board holder, bell, battery compartment, transformer, etc.) bear the logo of the Krone company and are identical to those of the OB 70. The OB 70s hook switch can be seen on the circuit board, but cannot be operated. Since it is in the off-hook state, the talk button in the handset can replace the hook switch.
